Getting Started
Everything you need to set up and use Cascade Mail
Adding Your First Email Account
After signing in, you'll need to connect your email account(s) to start using Cascade Mail.
- Click "Add Account" in the left sidebar, or the button that appears when you first sign in.
- Enter your email address — this is the account you want to check (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.)
- Fill in the server settings — See the provider settings table below for common providers. You'll need IMAP (incoming) and SMTP (outgoing) server addresses.
- Enter your password — For Gmail and some other providers, you'll need an App Password instead of your regular password (see note below).
- Test & Save — Click "Test Connection" to verify everything works, then save the account.
Gmail, Yahoo, and Microsoft users: You'll need to create an "App Password" in your account security settings. Regular passwords won't work due to security restrictions. Search for "app password" in your provider's help docs.
